One of the oldest dams in the country, the Latif Shah Dam is located in Chandauli district. Situated near Latif Shah's mazar, the dam is named after him. This dam is built on the Karmnasha river , and was completed in the year 1921. The reservoir created by the dam is used mainly for irrigation and human consumption. Due to its natural setting, this dam attracts a lot of tourists, who gather here for the view which is even more picturesque in the monsoon. In recent years, the dam has emerged popular as a prime location for pre-wedding shoots.
