Located at Barthi in Chandauli, Kaleshwarnath Mahadev Temple is the centre of faith for devotees due to its Shyambhu (self-manifested) Shivling. According to the visiting devotees and the local people, the Kaleshwarnath Mahadev Temple was built by King Bakht Shah of Sakaldiha Kot. Once while travelling in a dense forest, Bakht Shah stopped to rest under a tree. When he fell asleep, Devadhidev Mahadeva appeared in his dream and inspired him to build a temple at that spot. Devotees believe that the untimely death is avoided by worshiping Kaleshwarnath Mahadev.
